And when it comes to the technology to produce or deliver any of these solutions, don’t worry, we have you covered.

TRaiN Differently

Turning your plans and process into training does NOT have to be difficult, expensive, or result in cookie-cutter courses your audience is going to hate.

Your training SHOULD directly reflect the content of your plans, be an easy-to-justify cost, and be something you can easily and quickly distribute to all of your stakeholders!

The Process

So let’s talk about the TLC_TRNG Process first!

Understanding it will help you decide if this is the right approach for you.

Step 1: Documentation

Training your Team and Stakeholders starts with having documented plans, processes, or policies. This could be existing information you need to ensure your team and stakeholders understand or new approaches (or updates) to socialize.

If you don’t have documented plans, processes, or content to build your training from, we aren’t the right fit for you

While it seems counterintuitive to turn away business, we want to make sure you have the best experience possible, the deliverables convey your PLANS, and your stakeholders can say they have a level of understanding once they’ve finished a training.

Do you have a planning consultant that you’re working with? Great! We would be happy to partner with them to turn their deliverable into training for you.

Step 2: Know Your Audience

Once we’ve reviewed your documentation, we will probably ask several questions about who your intended audience is so that we can offer you options for ways to reach any subgroups of your audience more effectively. Not all adults learn the same way, and not all of your stakeholders need the same level of detail.

We will work with you to create a package that conveys the right information to the right audience in the right format.

Step 3: Storyboarding

Once we know what kind of course or courses we are building for you, we will map each one of them out in a “Plan of Instruction” or POI. This helps us get the right amount of information in the right order and then start to build in the opportunities for interaction and competency development.

This is where we take your documentation and start translating it into course content!

Step 4: The Build

Once we have an approved POI, we start drafting the course. The more content we fleshed out in the POI development process, the faster this goes.

Step 5: Review and Revise

Upon completion of an initial draft of the course, we will enter a review and revise stage to ensure the material meets the intended outcomes. During this phase, we also encourage clients to consider courses as “evergreen” and available for continuous improvement so that the project doesn’t get stalled by “analysis paralysis.” We will get version 1 of the course ready for public consumption and then update it based on student feedback.

Step 6: Deliver!

Execution of this step actually starts back during the POI development as we start to plan for how the course will be delivered so that when we get to this step it is smooth sailing.

Step 7: Continuous Improvement

All courses require continuous improvement to make sure they’re meeting the needs of the students, as well as delivering the most up-to-date information. During the contracting process, we will work with you to establish the right continuous improvement process for your course.

How do we know this works?

The process laid out above has been used repeatedly to develop courses used at the local, state, and national level. It has also been taught to others who have used it with equal success.
